Sarah Meier, owner and head trainer, rode hunters as a child and moved on to the prestigious equitation divisions at the AA circuit shows as a junior. She spent her teen years training with Steve Wall and competing successfully in the Medal, Maclay, Washington and USET classes. She moved to Lexington in 1996 to attend the University of Kentucky. While in school Sarah competed in the A/O Jumpers while training with Frank Conway. After college she worked and rode for various trainers such as Michael Matz, Dennis Mitchell of Kimberden Farm and Frank Conway. In addition to being a great rider, Sarah has taken the step to also being a great instructor, and can communicate well what she does on a horse to teach others. Her students and horses have great success through the AA rated level.
Alexandria Nelson, assistant trainer and head of the lesson program showed successfully, as a junior, in the Childrens Hunters in the Chicago area and then moved on to the Adult Jumper ring when she moved to Lexington. Alex turned in her amateur card to take over the assistant trainer position at Punchestown in the spring of 2011. She has now made her passion her career; she loves children, horses and her job. You can see it in the energy and enthusiasm that she puts into teaching her students and helping them at horse shows. Alex has built her student program through the Summer Camp that she organizes and runs at Punchestown Stable.
