Thank you Sean and Sarah!

When I decided to move to Lexington Kentucky my first concern was finding a barn for my horse! About a month before I moved down here I spent a week looking at barns. I had almost lost hope and I was very frustrated that I was moving to Lexington Kentucky, horse capital of the world and I can’t even find a barn I like! The last barn I went to was Punchestown Stable. I needed a barn and a trainer that I felt comfortable with in every aspect. When I meant Sean and Sarah I immediately knew this was the barn for me. My worries are over! They make such a great team together. Sarah has done an amazing job riding Patrick and Sean on the ground. They are both very knowledgeable and they always go above and beyond. Patrick has excelled so much at Punchestown. Sean and Sarah have also helped me excel as a rider both in the saddle and on the ground. Another plus is it’s a drama free barn! It’s always a pleasure when I’m at the barn and the other boarders are great. Patrick and I are both blessed to have Sean and Sarah looking after both of us and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

Successful week at the Robert Murphy Summer Show at the Ky Horse Park

After temperatures close to 100 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday and continuous downpour on Friday, Punchestown went on to have a great weekend. Paris Review won the $2500 New Vocations Thoroughbred Hunter Classic out of 24 entries, Rhonda competed in her first Mini -Prix on her new horse High Risk and finished 5th out of 20 competitors, and Amanda did the 3’3 schooling jumpers and won a class ending up Reserve Champion in the division for the first time showing her mare Bienvenue at that height at a rated horse show.

Chosen Ticket’s 2010 colt by Wesporte will be registered as “Water for Elephants” and we call him Benzini. He is going to learn all about show horse life from his older brother Miles.

2010 FOALS ARE HERE

Maude had a stunning filly by Apiro with 4 stockings and a blaze, and Ticket had a lovely bay colt by Westporte. Both foals are healthy and doing well.

Punchestown would like to congratulate Rhonda Allen on her new jumper Risky. Rhonda will show Risky in the adult jumpers and move up from there. Thanks to Billie Rae Graham for being generous and creative in making all this happen with this lovely horse.

Amanda won the Marshall & Sterling Adult Hunter Classic and was champion in the Adult Hunters at the Lakeside January I A- Show
